Marissa was born and raised in Rhode Island after her parents both immigrated from Italy searching for a better life. Throughout Marissa’s childhood, she loved art, especially drawing cartoon characters. She went to Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree with a concentration in graphic design. Marissa worked in the fashion jewelry industry for 20 years. After leaving the industry, she went to work for her church as a graphic designer and administrative assistant. Marissa has a loving husband, Wesley, with whom she serves in ministry at her church; a stepdaughter, Ashley; and a daughter, Eliana.
